Teachers start their CPM implementation with one of our Foundations for Implementation Series dependent upon which course series they are teaching. These events are available virtually, in person at select regional locations (links below), and at our National Teacher Institute.
Professional Learning Portal - Event Schedule and Registration
Teachers participate in one of the following professional learning series dependent upon which series they are teaching from: Core Connections or Inspiring Connections.
Foundations for Core Connections (FCC) has both live events (delivered virtually or in-person) and on-demand modules for a total of about 55 hours worth of commitment. Most folks do the first 3 days or 6 virtual sessions in the summer along with Instructional Modules 1-3 and the appropriate Content Modules 1-2 for their course. Each courses' chapter has a corresponding Content Module that contains the information specific to your course. Then in the Fall there is Day 4 or virtual sessions 7 & 8 with Instructional Module 4 & the Content Modules according to your teaching pace. Followed in the Spring with Day 5 or virtual session 9 & 10 with Instructional Module 5 & the appropriate Content Modules for you. We hope that you are able to complete the on-demand portions within a course-like Professional Learning Community. Within the beginning there is an activity to help connect you with course-like teachers from other schools if you do not have another course-like teacher at your school. Most folks do the first 4 days or 8 virtual sessions in the summer along with participating in the Foundations for Inspiring Connections Resource Module & the Inspiring Connections Follow-Up Support Sessions during the year. Also in the Fall the in-person learning event series includes a Day 5 and in the spring a Day 6 learning event. The 3 year Implementation Plan.
